Terms of Use for DocXpire

These Terms of Use are entered into between you (the "User") and MUHAMMED RIJAS, hereinafter referred to as "The Developer". By using the DocXpire application (the "App"), you agree to the practices described herein.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the DocXpire mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Developer.

2. Description of Service

DocXpire is a utility application designed to help users manage personal documents, track subscriptions, and receive expiration alerts. The App is designed as a local-first solution, meaning your data is stored primarily on your physical device rather than on our servers.

3. User Responsibilities

Data Accuracy: You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information entered into the App, including expiration dates and document details.
Backup Responsibility: Because DocXpire prioritizes local data privacy, the App does not provide automatic cloud backups unless explicitly stated. You are responsible for backing up your data. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, app deletion, or loss of hardware.
Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device (e.g., using passwords, biometrics, or PINs) to prevent unauthorized access to your stored documents.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or derive the source code of the App.
Use the App to store or manage documents that violate any local, state, or international laws./li>
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App (excluding user-provided content), including but not limited to the UI/UX design, logos, and underlying software code, are the exclusive property of The Developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use only, unless explicitly permitted.

6. Privacy & Data Handling

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you acknowledge that while we facilitate the management of sensitive documents, we do not have access to your locally stored files.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

THE EXPIRATION ALERTS WILL BE 100% ACCURATE OR TIMELY (NOTIFICATIONS MAY FAIL DUE TO OS SETTINGS, BATTERY OPTIMIZATION, OR DEVICE MALFUNCTION. USERS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED NOT TO RELAY SOLELY ON THE APP FOR CRITICAL REMINDERS AND SHOULD USE ADDITIONAL METHODS TO TRACK IMPORTANT DEADLINES.).

THE APP WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

9. Multi-Language Support

The App offers interfaces in multiple languages (including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali). While we strive for accurate translations, the English version of these Terms of Use shall be the governing version in the event of a conflict or ambiguity.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app update or notification. Your continued use of the App following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, specifically within the jurisdiction of the state of Kerala, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Data Deletion & User Control

You retain full control over your data stored within the App. You may delete your documents and associated data at any time by using the provided in-app features or by uninstalling the App. Since data is stored locally on your device, deletion is permanent and cannot be recovered by the Developer.

14. No Professional Advice

The App is provided for informational and organizational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. Users are solely responsible for verifying document validity and deadlines.

15. Future Features & Paid Services

The Developer reserves the right to introduce premium features or paid services in the future. Any such changes will be clearly communicated to users.

16. Termination

The Developer reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding the use of the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
